One of the first difference between these two trim levels is the number of people that can fit inside both SUVs. On the other hand, the XLE usually carries seven people, but there is an option to have seating for eight.
Inside of the 2020 Toyota Highlander LE and XLE you will find slightly different passenger volumes. The numbers are based on whether or not the trim level you chose has a moonroof or not. Here is another area where the two SUVs are the same. When configured properly, they are both able to tow up to 5,000 pounds.
Finally, in the 2020 Toyota Highlander XLE, you no longer have to dig around for a charging chord. There is a wireless charging station that comes standard. This is not available in the LE trim level.
