Split screen images of the 2019 Toyota RAV4 LE and 2019 Toyota RAV4 XLE

With just the right blend of versatility and style, it’s no surprise that the Toyota RAV4 is one of the best-selling crossovers in the market. For 2019, shoppers will have the choice between five trim levels in the lineup including LE, XLE, XLE Premium, Adventure, and Limited. Today, we’re going to take a closer look at the two most affordable trims, LE and XLE, to see what each have to offer for drivers and passengers.

The base LE trim is the most economical of the lineup with a starting MSRP of $25,500. The XLE trim is the next step up in the lineup with a starting MSRP of $27,300. Both configurations offer similar cabin space and powertrain lineups so the choice between the two will largely depend on the features available. We break down the standard and available features found in the LE and XLE trims below.

Standard and Available Features By Trim Level

For a base model, the 2019 RAV4 LE is surprisingly well equipped with a variety of tech and active safety features that modern drivers are looking for. Coming standard on the LE trim is the brand-new Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 active safety bundle, the Toyota Entune 3.0 infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Amazon Alexa compatibility, roof rails, split-folding rear seats and a USB port in the center console to help keep you connected to your smartphone device.

Moving up to the next available XLE trim will add additional amenities that may appeal to some drivers. In addition to the standard features on the LE trim, XLE configurations are also equipped with alloy wheels, fog lights, heated side mirrors with LED turn signal indicators, a moonroof, dual-zone auto climate control, the Toyota Smart Key system, five total USB ports, and blind spot monitoring.

Additionally, the 2019 RAV4 XLE trim also offers drivers the ability to add-on some optional packages including the Convenience Package with heated seats and a power liftgate, the Entune 3.0 Audio Plus package, and the XLE Technology Package with additional active safety and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.
