2018 Toyota Camry SE vs XLE St. Louis

Split screen images of the 2018 Toyota Camry SE and 2018 Toyota Camry XLE

The 2018 Toyota Camry lineup is comprised of five distinct trim levels that allow drivers to select a Camry model that feels tailor-made just for them. While the Camry lineup includes a budget-friendly offering with the L trim and an amenity-packed model with the XSE trim, we find that most car shoppers are most happy somewhere in the middle.

What features come standard on each trim?

Both the SE and XLE trims on the 2018 Toyota Camry offer similar seating capabilities, fuel economy figures, and interior space offerings. This means that car shoppers trying to choose between the two will need to compare the standard features available on each trim to decide which one offers the best mix of wanted amenities and affordability.

The SE trim’s starting price tag is more than $3,000 less than the price of the XLE trim. Though it does offer a smaller set of standard features, it certainly doesn’t skimp on amenities. Car shoppers can expect to find sporty features like a black grille with sport mesh, a rear spoiler, automatic climate control, Toyota Entune 3.0, a rearview camera, a 4.2-inch multi-information display, split-folding rear seats and one USB port.

In addition to the features mentioned above, drivers will find a few upgraded amenities like LED taillights, a metallic grille, heated side mirrors with LED turn signal indicators, dual-zone climate control, a 7-inch multi-information display, heated front seats, selectable drive modes, the Toyota Smart Key system, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, three USB ports, and blind spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert on the 2018 Camry’s XLE trim.
