What is Toyota Road Sign Assist and How Does It Work?

The Toyota lineup offers class-leading active safety on most of its new model lineup via the Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 active safety bundle. In addition to upgraded versions of the features found on the original Toyota Safety Sense system, Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 has added two brand new features: Road Sign Assist and Lane Tracing Assist. Today, we are breaking down Road Sign Assist to help drivers understand the value it brings to each trip.

When activated, the Road Sign Assist feature actively scans the sides of the road to detect select road signs including stop signs, speed limit signs, yield signs, do not enter signs, and more. When a new sign is detected, it will automatically be displayed on the dashboard for easy reference. No more second guessing the current speed or wondering what lies ahead.
