What are the Toyota Safety Connect features and are they different from the other safety features?
There are four-parts to the Toyota Safety Connect features. They are automatic collision notification, emergency assistance button, enhanced roadside assistance, and stolen vehicle locator. These are different from the other Toyota safety features. Check out the chart below for more specifics on what each part does to help keep you safe.
Components | What it does |
Automatic Collision Notification | If an airbag goes off, or if there is a rear-end collision, the response center is notified. The person in the response center will attempt to speak with the occupants in the vehicle. The response center person will then notify authorities and emergency personnel about the location of your vehicle. |
Emergency Assistance Button | If the driver or any occupant of the vehicle push this button, the response center will be notified. Occupants can request emergency services to the location of the vehicle |
Enhanced Roadside Assistance | If the button above is pushed, occupants of the vehicle can also request roadside assistance at any time, day or night. |
Stolen Vehicle Locator | If your vehicle is stolen, you should file a police report like normal, then notify the response center. They will then use GPS to assist the authorities in locating your vehicle. |

The Toyota Safety Connect Features come standard on the following vehicles:
- 2020 Toyota Corolla
- 2020 Toyota Corolla Hybrid
- 2020 Toyota Prius Prime
- 2019 Toyota Avalon
- 2019 Toyota Avalon Hybrid
- 2019 C-HR – Limited trim level
- 2019 Toyota Camry
- 2019 Toyota Camry Hybrid
- 2019 Toyota Corolla Hatchback
- 2019 Toyota Land Cruiser
- 2019 Toyota Mirai
- 2019 Toyota RAV4
- 2019 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid
The Toyota Safety Connect Features do not come standard on the following vehicles:
- 2020 Toyota Supra
- 2019 Toyota 4Runner
- 2019 Toyota Highlander
- 2019 Toyota Highlander Hybrid
- 2019 Toyota Prius
- 2019 Toyota Sequoia
- 2019 Toyota Tacoma
It is important to note that while the vehicles listed above do not come standard with the Toyota Safety Connect features, they are still very safe vehicles. They also include other safety technologies such as ToyotaCare, Toyota Safety Sense, and Star Safety System.
