St. Louis, MO residents can celebrate America’s birthday in style with a variety of local events and parades taking place in 2019. We have rounded up four of our favorite family-friendly celebrations below.
4th of July 2019 Events and Parades near St. Louis, MO
When: July 4, 5, 6
Where: Gateway Arch National Park
Anyone in the St. Louis area for the 4th won’t find a bigger celebration than Fair St. Louis. This annual three-day event offers something for everyone from hands-on activities for the kids to headlining concerts for the adults. The event is free and open to everyone. The fair organizers have yet to announce the concert schedule for this year. For the most up-to-date information, visit the event website or Facebook pages.
When: July 4
Where: Market Street, St. Louis
St. Louis is home to one of the largest 4th of July parades in the country. Following tradition, the parade will take place on the morning of the 4th and will include marching bands, floats, character balloons, special performances, and more. The parade will kick off at the intersection of 20th and Market. It will then follow Market St. East until ending at the intersection of Market and Broadway. The parade will also be televised for those who can’t make the event in person.
When: July 3, 4
Where: Frontier Park, Saint Charles, MO
The annual Riverfest celebration in Saint Charles will be kicking off one day earlier than the Fair St. Louis for residents looking to start the fun early! With live music, food, and craft vendors scheduled for both days and a parade and fireworks in the morning and evening of the 4th, Riverfest is family-friendly and great for anyone who prefers something a little smaller in scale than Fair St. Louis. Admission to Riverfest is free.
When: July 2, 3, 4
Where: GCS Ballpark, Sauget, IL
Is there a better way to celebrate America’s birthday than with a ballgame and fireworks? We think not. The Gateway Grizzlies will be playing home games on July 2, 3, and 4 and each game will be capped with a fireworks display. The first evening is Red White and Blues night with dueling pianos, the second evening is a Glow Game sponsored by Pepsi, and the third evening is Happy Birthday America presented by US Bank.
