2017 Toyota Highlander Release Date
The Highlander is a mid-sized SUV that already enjoys a great degree of popularity. We are predicting that the 2017 is going to be even more popular. This year at the New York International Auto Show, Toyota debuted it’s highly anticipated 2017 Highlander. This is one exciting car with so much to offer, so we cannot wait for the 2017 Toyota Highlander release date.
The new release includes enhancements in style, safety, comfort, technology and capability. It’s a lot of fun to drive and completely reliable too.
What’s new about the 2017 Toyota Highlander?
This third generation model is now entering its fourth year. The six Highlander gas models will continue to be available in both front-wheel and AWD. So what makes the 2017 version of this ideal family vehicle even better than before? Well, not only does it have upgraded luxury look and feel, but’s it’s safer too. There are 3 new colors, Celestial Silver Metallic, Toasted Walnut Pearl and – exclusively on the new SE – Salsa Red Pearl. Plus, the grille and headlights will be getting a new look too. The new double grille treatment is sure to please.
The Highlander has always been a good, safe, family car. This year there are a lot of exciting features that will come standard. For example, the Toyota Safety Sense P package includes: automated pre-collision braking, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Alert, Automatic High Beams and Pedestrian Pre-Collision System.
Performance on the 2017 model is also enhanced. So not only is it safer to drive, it’s more fun too. The new product line includes 3 powertrains and 6 model grades. The new 2017 Highlander gas models will have a new 8-speed automatic transmission and a new 3.5-liter V6 Injection Engine. This engine will generate more horsepower and improve fuel efficiency.
This year the Highlander Hybrid is adding two new grades, the LE and the XLE, to its existing line up of Limited and Platinum models.
Toyota is also including a new sporty SE model in 2017. This new model has a tuned suspension for a sportier ride. It looks sportier too, with dark paint on the front grille, 19-inch aluminum alloy wheels, as well as tainted headlamp housings and roof rails. The inside is sporty too, with silver stitching, a black front tray and matching dash and door inserts.
