Recently Toyota announced that the Scion brand would be experience a big change. Toyota announced at the New York International Show that Scion models will be transitioning to Toyota. This means that they are getting new names, badging and possible design changes. What is the new name for the Scion FR-S?
Toyota announced earlier this year that the Scion FR-S will be transitioning to the Toyota 86. So what exactly does this mean? The Scion FR-S has received exciting new design details for this new model, which includes a more aggressive style with a larger center, which emphasizes the low, wide stance of the car. The front of the car has a new design with re-configured LED front headlamps and turn signals as well as a revised bumper. The alloy wheels also have a new twisted spoke design and 86 logos have been incorporated into the badge on the front fender.
The interior also has a few minor changes worth noting. This includes the new available “Grandlux” material, which is used on the instrument panel surround. There is also new seating material with silver stitching and a sporty steering wheel with integrated audio controls and 86 logo on the center hub.

What happened to Scion’s lineup?
Besides changing the name of the Scion FR-S, Toyota will also adapting the Scion iM, which will now be called the Toyota Corolla iM and the Scion iA will become the Toyota Yaris iA. These two vehicles will join Toyota’s small car line-up.
