Under the hood, the Toyota Avalon plays home to a 3.5-liter V-6 engine, which has the ability to output a healthy 268 horsepower. The 2017 Chrysler 300 houses a 3.6-liter V-6 engine which has the capability to output about 292 horsepower. While the Chrysler can produce a bit more power, the Toyota Avalon offers 21 miles per gallon in the city, while the Chrysler 300 provides 19. Both model can reach up to 30 miles per gallon on the highway.

Interior luxury features and technology

Inside, both the 2017 Toyota Sienna and the 2017 Chrysler 300 offer standard Bluetooth, HD radio, heated/cooled seating and keyless ignition. One item that drivers commonly rely on that the base Toyota Avalon offers is navigation, while the Chrysler 300 does not.

Those who would like to upgrade the sound system on their Avalon can do so in the other styles offered. The Chrysler 300 does not offer a premium sound system.
